An NBA Player was looking to protect himself and his young family ahead of the final year in his rookie contract by taking out a sizable life insurance policy.
The player lacked the required liquidity to fund the insurance premiums, so his team was looking for a way to finance these payments and the liquidity requirement.
We worked closely with the borrower’s Financial Advisor and Insurance Agent to ensure the athlete did not have to liquidate his investment portfolio in a down market.

Sure Sports provided the borrower with a $1.2M contract advance to cover the first 3 years of premium payments as well as to meet the policy’s liquidity requirement.
By keeping his personal assets invested in the market and using borrowed funds for the policy, the borrower saved over $180k by not liquidating at the time when funds were needed.
