Credit Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sure Sports is seeking a Credit Analyst who will play a crucial role in the underwriting analysis and help identify the best loan structure and terms to meet the needs of clients. The Credit Analyst position at Sure Sports is a great opportunity for someone interested in joining a fast-paced, fun work environment in Sports Finance. The Credit Analyst will report directly to the Credit Analyst III and the President.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Underwrite customized credit structures for Professional Athletes

  • Generate monthly and annual reports on loan portfolios

  • Analyze, interpret and provide written analysis of financial documents and contracts collected

  • Enter, update and retrieve information for credit applications to determine credit worthiness of applicants

  • Designate degree of risk involved in extending credit by performing cash flow analysis

  • Review deals and field questions from internal departments

  • Carry out ongoing due diligence tasks as required

  • Leverage knowledge of day-to-day operations to assist in strategic project execution

  • Provide ad hoc financial analyses, modeling, and support as necessary within the organization.

  • Generate, review and prepare loan documents

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Credit or Financial Analyst

  • Experience as a collegiate athlete is a plus

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Proficiency in Excel)

  • Formal Credit or Underwriting Training by RMA preferred

  • Possess both a collaborative and independent workstyle

  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks)

  • Experience working in both a client-facing and back-office role

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization

  • General knowledge of and conceptual understanding of professional sports

  • Experience with loan preparation / documentation

  • Ability to prioritize and independently manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines under pressure.

  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and portray information effectively

  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when communicating with internal and external contacts

  • Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop solutions quickly and effectively

  • Ability to capture and analyze financial and operational data to develop projections and forecast

  • Will adjust work schedule to meet departmental demands
